These tutors can look over your work, check for spelling and grammar, give you input on the flow of your essay, etc. In turn you’ll most likely see your grades improve, which will only help you down the road.
On the flip side, if there is a subject area you do especially well in, you may want to consider being a tutor yourself. Tutoring looks incredible on a resume and can help you get your foot in the door at that dream job.

While there are plenty of classes you will need to take that directly relate to your major, there are also classes that you can sign up for that have nothing to do with what you’re studying. Before you write these off as “useless”, you may want to give them a try. At the very least it can help open your eyes to other experiences and content.
